For technical issues I refer you to my friend kollapsnik-- the many, many, many hours spent finding all these maps would still be a big unreadable spreadsheet otherwise.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01758435571092982404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286482810677801296.post-91974862339951942142013-06-08T21:17:11.164-07:002013-06-08T21:17:11.164-07:00Hi Jim,

Odd that nothing came up for that town; we're still working out the bugs in the search, but I'm guessing that you entered something other than capital-G Great and capital-B Barrington (which we'll eventually make work anyway). Let me know if re-entering works, and we-- and by "we", I mean I'll buy kollapsnik more beer-- will make lowercase place names work.

And by all means, if you see maps, have maps, or know of maps that should go here, let us know-- the research to build this was extensive and obsessive, but I make no make claim that it's complete, just reasonably thorough.

Thanks, WillAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01758435571092982404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286482810677801296.post-90378829953575003452013-06-08T20:15:02.949-07:002013-06-08T20:15:02.949-07:00masstrails.com is awesome.

I like it and I'm impressed.

If I'm understanding where the speed I see is coming from it's because the JSON document provides a database on the client side so Javascript can search it locally getting instant results.

I'd like to know more about the technical details. I'd be surprised if none of the map data is kept on the server side. How do the two interact?

Naturally I'm also happy to see Sully.k-doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11788296863763985663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286482810677801296.post-14952513560523417902013-06-08T19:19:10.398-07:002013-06-08T19:19:10.398-07:00Looks like a nice resource!
